Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all the Fathers/Daddies/Papas out there!

We've had a nice low key day that involved walking to the Dairy D to get Chris a well deserved Flurry (he's been craving one for a little over a year!) and Nora got her own little kiddie cone, complete with sugar cube eyeballs. Good stuff.

Chris, you're the best father I could imagine for our baby girl (you're taking care of your nightly routine of bathing, dressing and reading right now). Nora and I are both extremely lucky to have you. We love you.

Blues n Boots

We had a wonderful weekend last weekend in Yellow Springs, celebrating Kevin's high school graduation! Congratulations Kevin!!!

Nora has decided that Uncle Steve is "Deets" and Uncle Kevin is "Bull" - she's been talking about Deets and Bull non-stop since.

In other news, we left our camera at my mom's house, which is why I've taken so long to post anything. Never fear, it's not lost and pictures of the weekend will be up soon.

To tide you over, here are some shots of Nora eating her absolute favorite, "blues"...she's no dainty eater! In the 3rd pic, you'll notice her awesome pink cowboy boots (thanks to my Aunt Becky!), which are officially the first item of clothing that she insists on wearing, even if they are still a bit too big and make her sweat. Sacrifice for fashion, right?




And here she is at her easel where she spends increasing lengths of time lately. When asked, "what are you drawing?", her favorite answer is "Deets, Bull, Mimi, Mama, Papa...". When followed with, "what are [fill in name] doing?", she always dances and smiles. :) What a cute little optimist we have, huh?

I love looking back to see how big Nora's gotten. We recently took some new pictures with her and her doggy, and I thought I'd post the original doggy pictures - some of my favorites - alongside the new ones. The original ones are from early February '09, so she would've been a little over 3 months. Crazy how big she is now, but her head is just as shiny!







She's doing some champion growling in that last shot.

We have so much catching up to do, I don't even know where to start! I promise I'll try to get up to date by the end of June. Thank you, loyal readers.
