We have so many cute pictures from the past month that I just haven't had a chance to post. So, here goes:

Nora, as "thinking princess", "curtsy princess" and "happy princess":




Nora is really into Play-doh lately and almost exclusively wants me to make birdies while she makes them nests (nestesses). Here, she's lining them all up for Elise to see:


Bathtime fun! I can't wait until Elise is big enough for them to really be able to splash around together, but here's their first ever dual bath. Good times.


Nora is quite the green thumb. She loves watering the gardens and weeding and regularly samples the greens (adorable - before picking she holds her hand on the leaf and looks up with a shy smile and a "please?"). Here she is helping me plant our 2nd round of carrots:

She carried her baby all the way to the coffee shop and back. Such a good mama.

Nora's been working on potty training for a few weeks and Elise is very proud of her...here's some proof:

5 months

Our Elise is 5 months old. Woah. I cannot imagine our family without her. She is hilarious these days...hilarious and soulful, at the same time. She and Nora share those old soul eyes that seem like they're looking through you.

At 5 months Elise has rolled over front to back and back to front, although she seems happy to have tackled the milestone and somewhat uninterested in repeating it. She's a happy happy little lady and smiles easily at new people. She's also happy to be passed around to various friends and admirers, which is something her big sister was never a fan of. She has a teensy bit of fuzz on her noggin and more than one chub roll on her thighs. :) She's amazing.

My dear Elise, you are a joy. We love you very much.

The Entertainer

Nora has always had a flair for performance - she loves to sing and dance - but her love of the stage has greatly expanded since the birth of her #1 fan. Elise LOVES IT when Nora sings and dances...really, she loves it when Nora does just about anything but especially the singing and dancing. When Nora becomes a Broadway star (or prima ballerina) I think she'll have Elise to thank for solidifying her love of all things theatric. Too cute.
