Catch up!

Man, it's been a busy month AND our camera is on the fritz...anyway, big apologies for the super overdue post!

Nora is talking up a storm lately. I swear she learns about 20 new words every day, some of which I have no idea where she heard them. Surprisingly, no curse words yet! She's always been very good at getting her point across, but it's been just amazing to hear her verbally communicate clearly and tell stories and sing songs and ask questions...it's really fun. She kisses and hugs the baby (my belly) A LOT and we talk about when the baby will come out and what kinds of things the baby will do (she thinks the baby will have lots of mums and play with toys and cry...pretty accurate, really). I think she's going to be an AMAZING big sister, if slightly bossy (that's what big sister's are for, right?).

I'm 26 weeks now and feeling good. We had our ultrasound last week and little b is looking good and healthy! We didn't find out the sex, so we'll have to post another poll soon for you all to guess whether you think it's a girl or a boy. When I ask Nora she always says "just baby". Good perspective. Here's a pic from the laptop (not the best quality) from last week:

And, more pics from the past month!

We don't eat at the dinner table anymore - it's all of us collected around Nora's table these days (with G'ma B and Papa):

Apple picking at Patterson's earlier in the month...

Then, off to Yellow Springs for the Autumn Street Fair. Nora LOVED the belly dancers:

Cute milk mustache:

Nora and Papa showing off the trophy they won at a recent 5k run in Midtown. Chris got 2nd place, while pushing Nora in her stroller! What a good team.

Nora, with Alta and Jamie...

Reading at home, with her sunglasses on (the band aid is what's left of an earlier sunglasses/slippy sock-related dancing accident...it's risky to feel the beat as much as Nora does).

And, all dressed up in her flamingo costume (homemade!) for the annual Babysitting Co-op Halloween party...we have an amazing video of her with the whole thing on (head-piece and all) that I'll work on getting up here.

With Alta, the pumpkin...

Finally, Nora being very helpful around dinnertime...

And, to close, Nora and Papa looking too cool for school in their 3-d glasses:
